VueScan VueScan by Hamrick was indispensable to me when I used Vista 64 and needed to use a scanner. The Epson folks thought I should upgrade to a new scanner and so they didn't release compatible drivers. VueScan interfaced with my computer, was easy to use, handled transparencies (my medium format slide scans), had a free demo, and was less than $40. If you're still reading, go get it.
